SERVICE ACADEMY NOMINATIONS
From Jeff Duncan U.S. House of Representative:
The appointment to a service academy is an extremely competitive process. To receive an offer of appointment, an applicant must obtain a nomination from an official source. There are several nomination sources and applicants are encouraged to exhaust all available options. This includes, but is not limited to, their U.S. Representative, two U.S. Senators and the Vice President of the United States.
The nomination application process is similar to applying for the academy itself, but the processes are separate. An applicant is not required to be personally acquainted with the Representative from whom they are seeking the nomination, but they are required to live within their district.
The deadline for submitting an nomination to Jeff Duncan from the House of Representatives for the Class of 2021 is 5:00 P.M. Friday, October 28, 2016.
